Y6 Football
On Thursday evening, our Y6 football team travelled to Stamford Bridge to play in two fixtures.
The team, selected from children who attend the after school football club, played some fantastic football. Stamford Bridge, who turned out to be a very strong team, also demonstrated some excellent skills.
In game one, Driffield went behind after a scrambled goal in the Driffield area, but Driffield soon equalised until The Bridge edged home in a close encounter. In the second game, Driffield played up hill, into the wind in the first half, going into the second half with the game goalless. However, a different formation in the second half and the wind behind their backs, saw Driffield emerge victorious with a 2-0 win. It was great to see such sporting behaviour from both teams and honours shared over the 2 games.
