  • Egg Rolling
    Lots of excitement in school this morning as children have a go at egg rolling.
  • Easter
    Even year 6 GPS revision has an Easter theme. Children in 6FS were writing active and passive sentences using pictures on the whiteboard as their focus. I am assured that an Easter egg hunt was to follow!
  • Speak Up Club
    A year 5 pupil suggested we should have a ‘speak up’ club in school, where children could go and speak about their worries or concerns to one of their peers. We thought this was a great idea so the job was advertised to year 6 pupils.
  • Easter Assembly
    Year 4 led an Easter assembly that was shared with their families and with the rest of the school.
  • Tour de Yorkshire
    We were very lucky to see first hand the Tour de Yorkshire trophies that are presented to the male and female winners of this prestigious cycling competition.
  • Cross Country
    On Friday afternoon, 15 of our most resilient youngsters took part in the Scarborough College Cross Country Challenge.
  • Y5 Read and Stay
    Year 5 classrooms were filled with a wonderful buzz on Tuesday as many parents joined us for a reading session at the end of the day. Firstly, top tips for reading at home were shared and the importance of questioning and clarifying were stressed.
  • Rocket Cars
    Race day! All of year 5 assembled at the safety line in eager anticipation to watch their cars race. The army inserted the rockets to provide the thrust and the children provided the loud count down and cheers.
  • Listen to KCFM this afternoon.
    Some of our children have been interviewed by KCFM. The broadcast will be 3.50pm this afternoon.
  • Bloodhound - day 2
    Year 5 began to sketch their initial ideas for their rocket cars. Children worked in pairs or groups of three to discuss and agree a final design – negotiation and compromise were key.
