  On Wednesday, 5I and 5By visited Driffield All Saints Church as part of their History work related to WW1.
• 3H A Super Start to DJS
  We've had a 'Super' start to life at DJS.
• Life after school at DJS
  Our after school clubs kicked off tonight with lots of different activities for children. Pupils were busy at International Club, Football Club, Reading Club, Kidzone and Judo Club.
• Voting Day
  Our sports houses are named after famous sports starts. Today pupils have been voting for their favourites.
• Keep your child safe online
  You have a key role to play in keeping your child safe online. The school wants to work with parents to ensure pupils are as safe as they can be online.
• Competition
  Our first ‘Do it Right’ focus of the year is ‘Be Positive’ and we talked about it in assembly this morning. For those children who are interested in taking part, I have arranged a competition.
• Y4 Rocks
  During our first week in year 4 we have studied Australia in 4S. On Friday we have looked at aboriginal art.
• Y6 Biomes
  Year 6 have had a super start to the year learning about biomes around the world. We have researched different biomes and created art work to represent them.
• Retirement
  We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs Peacher at the end of term. Mrs Peacher has been part of the lunchtime team for 26 years and we have worked out she has looked after about 14,000 children!
